A little bit about Lancashire you might find interesting
Come and discover the heart of the colourful county of Lancashire, where you will encounter beautiful countryside, landscapes and historical sights. Preston boasts some unique attractions such as Riversway, Europe's largest single dock basin, with its marina, leisure shopping and attractions. The Grade I listed Harris Museum and Art Gallery is a magnificent Greek Revival building dominating the centre of the town and housing an impressive collection of fine and modern art.

Much of Lancashire’s coastal area is of ornithological interest with a wide variety of terrain from the distinctive limestone scenery of Arnside/Silverdale, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, through glazed saltmarshes and agricultural land, the seaside resorts of Morecambe, Blackpool and the Fylde coast as well as the major river estuaries of the Lune, Wyre and Ribble.

The Lancashire District stretches from the outskirts of Liverpool in the south to the River Ribble in the north, with Southport to the west and Wigan and Chorley to its east. Ormskirk and Skelmersdale are West Lancashire’s main towns, both busy centres for shopping and commerce. The thriving market town of Ormskirk lies at the heart of West Lancashire.
