A little bit about Hyndburn you might find interesting
Hyndburn lies right at the very heart of Lancashire's Hill Country, within easy reach of the coast, Lake District and Manchester. It makes a great base for touring, with beautiful green valleys and the West Pennine Moors all within minutes of attractive stone-built towns. The principal town in Hyndburn is Accrington. Much of the town is now a Conservation Area, with attractive Victorian stone buildings, a wonderful market in Lancashire's oldest market hall and traditional specialist shops. Its history includes the ‘Accrington Pals’, many of whom tragically lost their lives at the Battle of the Somme.
